SIP hosted the German Delegation led by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES in Asia) on 7th Dec 2018 at SEED@SIP. FES is the oldest political foundation in Germany with a rich tradition in social democracy dating its foundation in 1925.
The FES-led delegation consists of high-level representatives of the German federal parliament, leading decision makers in the realm of non-governmental associations and research institutions. It is the first of its kind to formulate actionable political recommendations for the federal, state and local level in dealing with opportunities of digitalization.
It was SIP’s privilege to share with them about SIP’s major developments as well as the milestones of social innovations and social entrepreneurship in Singapore. Our founder, Penny Low, also addresses the key question of how Singapore develops successful social entrepreneurship in a competitive business environment.
The visit ended off with a short tour around SEED’s farms and container restaurants – a living exhibit of how ideas, inspirations, and innovations come alive at SEED@SIP. We look forward to joining hands to build a more inclusive, sustainable and mindful world.
