Ms Penny Low, MP of Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC
Ms. Penny Low has traversed more than 60 countries and is one of the 34 founding members of the New Asian Leaders by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum. She has also been honored as one of the 237 (out of 8,000 worldwide) founding members of the prestigious
The Forum of Global Young Leaders (YGL). Ms. Penny Low was the youngest elected female Member of Parliament in Singapore, representing the Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency in 2001. She is the Chairperson of the Government Parliamentary Committees (GPC) for Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts, and also serves on the GPC for Ministry of Finance, Trade and Industry.
Penny sits on many national committees and a member of many inter-parliamentary and friendship groups across the globe. She also has been in the financial services industry since 1995. More recently, she also founded the Social Innovation Park Ltd (SIP), a non-profit organization promoting thought leadership and social entrepreneurship in Singapore and beyond.

Ms Jocelyn Chng, MD of Sin Hwa Dee Foodstuff Industries Pte Ltd
Ms. Jocelyn Chng succeeded her father, Mr Chng Kee, at the age of 21 in 1989. Since then, her sauce business has grown into a global operation with a network distribution of over 35 countries. In 2000, she led the Company to be the first in the world to launch Hainanese Chicken Rice Mix in the bottle. Ms. Jocelyn Chng has also accumulated many accolades under her belt.
Jocelyn was awarded the MontBlanc Businesswoman Award in 2003. She was also nominated for Young Chinese Entrepreneur Award 2002. In the same year, she headed the marketing team to participate in Singapore Promising Brand Award 2002, the first brand award organized by ASME for small and medium-sized companies, which CHNG Kee’s has won Most Distinctive Brand (Product Category). In 2001, she won the Women Entrepreneur of the Year. Being community-minded and a charismatic person, Jocelyn has given numerous talks and rendered advices at schools, associations and societies.

Ms Elim Chew, MD of 77th Street (S) Pte Ltd
Whilst it was necessity that drove Elim to embark on the path of entrepreneurship, it was out of passion and the love for street wear that 77th Street was born. Not long after Elim returned form London upon completing a hairdressing course, her father passed away. To sustain herself, she poured her entire life savings of $1000 into starting a small salon in 1987.
Ms. Elim Chew founded 77th Street in 1988. It was her first foray into the retail industry and has since revolutionized the streetwear scene in Singapore. In addition to expanding her retail businesses, Elim lends her expertise and time to various youth organizations in Singapore. Under the baton of Elim, 77th Street became the first fashion retailer to win the prestigious “Singapore Brand Award” 2004 by ASME and Lianhe Zaobao.
In April 2005, Elim established The Young Entrepreneur Mastery (TYEM) Academy to inculcate entrepreneurial skills in youths. Tyem Academy is a spectacular education provider in Singapore under the Ministry of Community Development, Youths and Sports’ (MCYS) Youth Inc. programme. Tyem Academy is dedicated to delivering opportunities and options for youths who are not schooling. With a service-learning based curriculum, youths will learn essential skills such as Entrepreneurship, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Leadership and Management, in a fun, interactive and motivating way.

Mr. Khong Kwok Wai started his career in 1982 after graduating from Singapore Polytechnic and then Oklahoma City University in 1994. He has been working in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical and Marine Industries for over 20 years. Currently, he works as a Senior Procurement & Contracts Engineer in SRC. Khong, participated in the Tax Payer & Economic Development Feedback Group since 1998. He joined the Grassroots in 1996 and was awarded the Public Service Medal, PBM in 2003. He was then the Rivervale Vista RC Chairman. He is currently the Punggol North CCC – Secretary and recently appointed as Town Councilor in the Pasir-Ris- Punggol Town Council.

Mr Philip was recently driving SingTel’s
convergence strategy across mobile, fixed line and internet
services. These include synergies arising for new businesses in
Content, Data and Media. He created IDEAS, SingTel’s service brand
for various convergence services and is responsible for the
conceptualization, creation and marketing of services across various
technology platforms including broadband, web, wap, SMS, MMS and 3G
platforms.
He was also responsible for regional content
synergies across the Group. Prior to SingTel, Philip was a private
equity fund manager in Temasek Holdings, the investment arm of the
Government of Singapore with a global portfolio of over US$54
billion.

Ellen Lee was elected MP of Sembawang GRC (Woodlands) in May 2006.
She is concurrently an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and has practiced law in Singapore since January 1981. She is now a Consultant of M/s Ramdas & Wong.
Ellen is Legal Advisor to various community organizations and non-profit organizations. She is also a member of the Government Parliamentary Committees on Law & Home Affairs and the Community Development, Youth and Sports.

Phillip I. Overmyer is the Chief Executive of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) and took on this position in June 2003. He is responsible for the overall management of the Chamber, which serves approximately 800 member companies engaged in international businesses. The SICC provides a wide range of trade services, business information, networking opportunities, and government advocacy programs for its members.
Mr. Overmyer was previously Vice President of Samuels International, a Washington D.C. based diversified international consulting firm specializing in business, trade and investment matters, particularly involving policies of American and foreign governments, economic and political risk assessments, investment strategies, and negotiations on trade and investment liberalization.
Before joining Samuels International, Mr. Overmyer enjoyed nearly 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, including 12 years as a senior executive based in Singapore. He has a broad background in sales, marketing and operations, and extensive experience in regulatory, industry and government relations. As Vice President of Global Services for AT&T in Asia, Mr. Overmyer managed a successful, $300 million business unit across 35+ Asian, South Asian and Pacific Island markets. He has in-depth knowledge of the Asian governments' evolving industrial and regulatory policies on telecommunications, digital technology and internet related services. He also participated in the economic, political and regulatory analyses of projects for new services and manufacturing businesses in several Asian countries, including Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and India. Mr. Overmyer served as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and as Chairman of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a senior member of advisory boards to Asian governments on information technology, labor relations, economic development and education. Mr. Overmyer has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and Master's Degrees in Management from both Pace University and Stanford University. He completed the Sloan Management Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and The Executive Program at the University Of Virginia Darden Graduate School Of Business Administration.

Mr. Ricky Sim have been the Chief Operating Officer of Suntec Investment Group of Companies since 1994 and is concurrently Managing Director of Chesterton International, Singapore since 1997. Ricky leads and manages all the companies under the diversified Suntec Investment Group and reports directly to Hong Kong. Before joining the Suntec Investment Group, Ricky was with the Ministry of Defence for 18 years. He spent several years in overseas posting in Hong Kong and Bangkok.
Ricky is currently one of the Honorary Advisors (Valuation) to the Real Estate Developers Association of Singapore (REDAS). He is also very active in community and social services. Just to name a few, he is an active council member of the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM). He is also the secretary of the Singapore Scout Association (SSA). In addition, he sits on the board for the sub-committee of the National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA) and National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). Ricky is also a Board Member of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), which the SIFE World Cup 2008 will be held on 1 – 2 October 2008 in Singapore.
