On the 27th July 2018, a total of 70 people including Chinese delegates, NUS staff and students were here at Social Innovation Park to learn about ‘Innovation in Business’ as part of the 15th Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange (SSUE) Programme. It is a prestigious Government-to-Government Tertiary Exchange Programme spearheaded by the respective Ministry of Education (MOE) of Singapore and China. The delegation is made up of 50 students from top Chinese universities, namely, Nankai University, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Shaanxi Normal University and Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Lydia, the founder of Glamping Society, shared her start-up journey and experiences with the students. It was an eye-opening and enriching experience for the Chinese delegates to learn that innovation need not always come from for-profit firms, but can also originate from a social cause too.
